Color Stains on Paper: Fungal Pigments, Synthetic Dyes and Their Hypothetical Removal by Enzymatic Approaches

نویسندگان

چکیده

Fungi are the main contaminants of books and archival documents. In addition to their degrading power, offered by various types lignolytic cellulolytic enzymes, they can also hue surface paper through production pigments. The fungi on release pigments belonging mostly two chemical groups (polyketides carotenoids), which cause unpleasant anaesthetic stains. be hued with several synthetic colors, part, for example, stamps inks. These colors could degraded lignin-modifying enzymes (LMEs) dye-decolorizing peroxidases (DyPs). Therefore, mechanism action LEMs DyPs is illustrated. Moreover, we have examined potentiality remove stains hypothetical application in order clean fungal hues from surface. Our review article, using enzymatic removal parallelism between pigments, would like show prospective solutions this arduous problem.

Enzymatic Colour Removal of Pulp and Paper Mill Effluent by Different Fungal Strains

Pulp and paper mill effluent is posing a serious threat to the water and soil components of the environment due to its brown colour and high level of toxicity. Fungal treatment is one of the efficient methods for treating pulp and paper mill effluent. In the present study, for the treatment of from pulp and paper industry, nine efficient fungal strains including Phanerochaete chrysosporium, ded...

Effectiveness of Dyes Removal by Mixed Fungal Cultures and Toxicity of Their Metabolites

Decolorization of brilliant green (0.06 g/L), Evans blue (0.15 g/L), and their mixture (total concentration 0.08 g/L, proportion 1:1 w/w) by fungi was studied. Fungal strains [Pleurotus ostreatus (BWPH), Gloeophyllum odoratum (DCa), and Fusarium oxysporum (G1)] were used separately and as a mixture of them. Zootoxicity (Daphnia magna) and phytotoxicity (Lemna minor) changes were estimated after...

Color removal of reactive procion dyes by clay adsorbents

The adsorptions of reactive procion brilliant red H-EGXL and procion yellow H-EXL by various clay adsorbents were investigated in this research. The research showed that synthetic talc has the highest adsorption capacity for decolorization of both procion type of reactive dyes compared with other clay adsorbents. The removal efficiencies of synthetic talc relatively stable above 80% until the i...

Carotenoids and their isomers: color pigments in fruits and vegetables.

Fruits and vegetables are colorful pigment-containing food sources. Owing to their nutritional benefits and phytochemicals, they are considered as 'functional food ingredients'. Carotenoids are some of the most vital colored phytochemicals, occurring as all-trans and cis-isomers, and accounting for the brilliant colors of a variety of fruits and vegetables. Carotenoids extensively studied in th...
